Guess what?
Like so many problems I have with developing this website, my developement environment and my actual hosting environment differ. Hence, contractions work on my host with the trick I found but with this same trick, I can't even enter any data on my development environment database. :(
Well that's the price you gotta pay for free hosting.
We'll see what I can do...
