The one about the dangerous people |

I was biking the other day and I realized... Biking is dangerous.
These past two weeks, I have had to avoid hitting pedestrians, cars and other bikes.
A pedestrian will inevitably look if there are any cars before jaywalking, but I guess it's okay go without checking if there are bikes.
While biking, I saw this girl, from afar, who looked suspiciously like someone who was going to do something dangerous, and she did. I had to come to a complete stop, and I'm pretty sure she had no knowledge that I would have hit her if I wasn't careful. The thing about this is that when I stop at 35km/h, it's not easy. It's risky. So I didn't like that.
Cars might be worse, there is a 50% chance they won't follow the rules of the road when dealing with bikes. The traffic light is green for me and green for the guy who wants to turn, I'm in the opposite direction of said car, and inevitably the car thinks he has time to turn before I get there, but he doesn't and I have to violently stop in my path not to kill myself. Inconsiderate, that's what these (I don't want to call them people) are.

So I have a flat on my bike, might be the end of the season, for the better or the worse. So now I have to migrate to the gym to stay in shape. Should be fine, just need to make the switch as seamlessly as possible.
Also new this week, I got traded to the Average Joes from my last team, The Blackbirds. I think it's a compliment, my main asset is my speed. But I like to think that my shot is also a good asset. As with any good trade, the new player manages to prove his worth in his first game by scoring a spectacular goal on a breakaway. That's me.
Peace out!
