First Day of My Life |

First of all, if you never heard the song "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes, then go for it: Click Here
May 3, 2004 was the day of mom's passing. I'd like to share a little something nice.
The song's lyrics really spoke to me. The person being talked about, for me was my mom. The song was probably written to give a warm feeling like that to everyone who listened by allowing them to figure out who they wanted to think about when listening to the song. :)
Just to give you an idea of how I feel about the words in the song, I will elaborate on a few lines.
"Yours is the first face that I saw"
-True
"Think I was blind before I met you"
-True (of course these kinds of general remarks are true most of the time but hey :P )
"But I realized how I need you"
-True, you don't know how much you miss something until it's gone.
"I remember the time you drove all night"
-On several occasions, one of which was a nice coda. I went with her to empty her office was it was close to the end.
"Glad I didn't die before I met you"
-I have no doubt that this is true :) (because that sentence is supposedly said by the person you are thinking about)
This ends my elaboration of the song relating to my mom. But before I go, I'd like to share with whoever reads a dream I had shortly after she went away.
In the dream my mom asked me if I wanted to go on a journey with her. At first I'm reluctant but eventually she convinces me to go for it. So we go on a journey together and see a bunch of wonderful things.
Analysis. The way I see it, my mom askes me if I want to live a life, and I accept and we have a great journey together. I guess we dream what we want to see. But it's still interesting to have a dream like that.
Have a good day to all. :)
